Institute of Occupational Science and Rehabilitation by Metropolitan College

Metropolitan College, in the context of its scientific research activity and having established programmes of study in Health Sciences, Human and Social Sciences, founded the Institute of Occupational Science and Rehabilitation.

The establishment of Metropolitan College’s new research institute was announced by Dr Panagiotis Siaperas (OT, MRCOT, CPsychol AFBPsS) Programme Leader Msc. Rehabilitation and Board Member of European Network of Occupational Therapy in Higher Education (ΕΝΟΤΗΕ), during the 1st International Rehabilitation Conference that was organized and hosted by Metropolitan College.

Incorporating Metropolitan College’s strong values, the Institute’s vision is the improvement of individuals’ mobility independence and quality of life. Combining know-how and experience, it is dedicated to supporting knowledge regarding contemporary issues and conducting interdisciplinary research.

The Institute’s establishment confirms Metropolitan College’s expertise in Health Sciences, promotes intellectual and academic progress and unleashes the academics and students potential.

Institute of Occupational Science and Rehabilitation is running under the scientific supervision of Professor Dinos Arkoumanis [Member of the Academic Board of Metropolitan College] and it is coordinated by Dr Panagiotis Siaperas. Professor Gail Whiteford at University of Charles Sturt in Australia and Member of Metropolitan College’s Academic Board is the Honorary Director of the Institute.
